Salem, Indiana used to be a middle of the road decent community of people that cared about their community, cared about their neighbors and cared about at least trying to be decent people. I can't believe that anymore with all of the idiots, criminals, lazy people, trashy people and extras that ought to be on some sort of freak show that are from Salem, Indiana. This used to be a decent community and there still are plenty of decent people once you push away from the drug pushers, dopeheads, meth heads, heroin abusers, domestic abusers, child abusers, thieves, criminals and lowlifes that are increasingly encroaching on what used to be a very decent sort of community.
The sad thing about me saying such is that my family was one of the original families that founded Salem, Indiana back around 1814 and I've had family that have lived in this area for pretty much most of the years up until this year of 2020. That being said, this is a town/city now that used to be a place of middle of the road Americana where people used to look out for their neighbors and the community.
They kept their streets clean, the homes were immaculate in many cases, kids were well behaved for the most part and people actually took pride in what this community was and for the most part was a community of decent people of working and middle class origins that weren't rich but were not dirt poor and certainly judging from the character that I seen and developed from those people weren't lazy morons wanting to sit on their ass and cause problems.
I've lived here some 36 out of my 40 something years other than being away to college and being away for another job assignment elsewhere. Family always lured me back and the nice quiet lifestyle that we had where there was not a lot of nonsense and bullcrap going on especially people causing massive amounts of drama, bringing around their dirtball criminal friends and the like
I've never seen this town so bad and so wretched and so stupid that half of the people but not all are totally clueless about what is really going around them and how they are turning the community into a pig sty. It's as if these bunch of Appalachian hilljacks came down out of the mountains and decided all to move to Salem without learning any social graces, common sense, decency, ability to clean up after themselves and bother with getting some decent level of education. Frankly, if you can't handle that then maybe you should improve the community by moving on elsewhere that tolerates trash such as that.
If this offends you then it should and I simply don't give a damn anymore because I'm tired of seeing the morons and idiots from somewhere else in many cases who have came here from elsewhere turn the community into a damn laughingstock. You've turned it into a drug den full of nincompoops, 75 IQ idiots and people that couldn't run a lemonade stand if you were given all the lemons, water, sugar, pitcher, stirrer and cash box to operate the stand. You're like a stain on a pair of men's underwear commonly known as tighty whiteys or a skid mark on the underpants of America.
Salem used to be a decent community where although nothing was perfect at least people took pride and decency in the town and actually cared. Now it's a bunch of lowlifes, drug abusers, drunks, thieves and other societal trash that is turning my hometown into a big white ghetto and its ridiculous that a community the size of Salem and Washington County can't do better than this.
I've read your comments, your uneducated diatribes, your ignorant hilljack posts on Facebook and elsewhere and your inability to think outside the box. What's so hard about having to think about things and act like you've got at least some common sense. You're turning this community into a Grade A American shithole and its got to be called out.
You can call me nasty names, question my sanity, question my background but here's the facts that you and the rest of the clowns in Salem, Indiana and Washington County by and large into a total laughingstock.
Our county is now 90th in household income in the state of Indiana, 82nd in personal income in a state that ranks 38th in the country. Our county is flush with drugs, thieves, criminals, deadbeats, losers, boozers, bigots and welfare cheats who refuse to work and contribute at least something to society. Even to be a decent person which for some reason seems to be difficult for half of the people in Washington County and Salem. It's not that difficult but one thing is that you're spitting on the people that made this town and made this county and someone needs to call it for what it is and what it has became over the years.
The facts are that the current inhabitants of Salem, Indiana in many ways make the whole town look bad.
If you want to blame me for ripping someone a new ass then by all means you can blame away but the facts are still the facts and there is a sizable number of people in Salem and Washington County that don't give a damn about our community, our resources and so much more only to take what they can get and turn the community into something resembling a pig sty.
